La ayuda para el desarrollo sostenible de comunidades rurales vulnerables es el foco de su trabajo. No s\u00f3lo ofrecen asistencia t\u00e9cnica sino que aportan a la construcci\u00f3n de capacidades en las comunidades para que puedan ejercer sus derechos, a la conservaci\u00f3n de sus recursos naturales, a contar con infraestructura b\u00e1sica y a tener acceso a la educaci\u00f3n. Ofrecen consultor\u00eda a comunidades en asuntos relacionados con sociedad civil y el estado, promoviendo la consideraci\u00f3n equilibrada de hombres y mujeres.<\/p>\n El objetivo de HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation es ayudar a crear un mundo m\u00e1s justo en el que se puedan satisfacer las necesidades b\u00e1sicas y los derechos humanos de todos los individuos. Para conseguir este objetivo, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation trabaja en cinco niveles:<\/p>\n 1. Proyectos<\/strong><\/p>\n HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation desarrolla y apoya proyectos concretos. Para que este trabajo sea sostenible tienen que ser implementados localmente. HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation ayuda a sus socios en su organizaci\u00f3n interna y capacita a las autoridades locales para que asuman responsabilidad por las actividades para garantizar la continuidad de los proyectos.<\/p>\n 2. Servicios de Asesor\u00eda<\/strong><\/p>\n HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation ofrece un equipo multidisciplinario de expertos y asesores en desarrollo internacional. Estos expertos asesoran a organizaciones privadas, de la sociedad civil, gubernamentales y multilaterales en asuntos relacionados con sus proyectos de desarrollo. Capacitan a especialistas y fomentan las \u201cexpertise\u201d, contribuyendo con sus capacidades y sus conocimientos a redes internacionales.<\/p>\n 3. Informaci\u00f3n y sensibilizaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/p>\n HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation informa a la poblaci\u00f3n suiza sobre su propio trabajo y sensibiliza sobre las injusticias globales y la necesidad de comprometerse ante las necesidades de los m\u00e1s pobres del mundo, ya sea a trav\u00e9s de un compromiso pol\u00edtico o con donaciones.<\/p>\n 4. Comercio justo<\/strong><\/p>\n En los mismos proyectos o colaborando con proveedores comerciales, HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation promueve el comercio justo de productos tales como cacao, arroz y algod\u00f3n. En el FairShop de HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation se venden bienes de pa\u00edses en v\u00edas de desarrollo que han sido producidos de manera ecol\u00f3gica y socialmente justa.<\/p>\n 5. Pol\u00edticas para el desarrollo<\/strong><\/p>\n HELVETAS Swiss Intercooperation contribuye al debate sobre las pol\u00edticas de desarrollo tanto en Suiza como a nivel internacional: con declaraciones, a trav\u00e9s de la colaboraci\u00f3n en redes mundiales, con peticiones, y como patrocinador de Alliance Sud, la organizaci\u00f3n de presi\u00f3n pol\u00edtica que comprende algunas de las organizaciones de ayuda m\u00e1s grandes de Suiza.<\/p>\n
