z_index_tablet=\u00bb500&#8243;]<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Fuente: Consultora PAWANKA, 2011.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Las Amenazas al Bosque<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Los bosques del Bloque SIPBAA se ven amenazados por el avance de la frontera agropecuaria que se evidencia en la invasi\u00f3n de colonos, quienes comenzaron a llegar a la regi\u00f3n en el a\u00f1o 2000, de la mano de empresarios forestales y compa\u00f1\u00edas madereras de capital extranjero o en busca de tierras para establecer potreros que luego comercializan. Tambi\u00e9n una compa\u00f1\u00eda minera ha abierto caminos para explorar la presencia de oro, facilitando el ingreso de comunitarios al al bosque.<br \/>Algunas comunidades Miskitas vecinas (Prata y Betel) demandan parte del \u00e1rea de Bosque de SIPBAA para hacer aprovechamiento forestal y explotaci\u00f3n de oro. Esto sucede porque los l\u00edmites entre territorios no han sido definidos legalmente, sino que son acuerdos verbales ancestrales. Gentileza Juan Carlos Ocampo<\/p>\n<h4><strong>El saneamiento territorial: la expulsi\u00f3n pac\u00edfica de los colonos<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>En el 2010, 67 familias de campesinos (colonos) invadieron aproximadamente 300 ha del bosque de las comunidades SIPBAA. El proceso de saneamiento del bosque fue coordinado por los l\u00edderes del Bloque SIPBAA, junto a la Autoridad Territorial Intercomunal (que representa a un conjunto de 23 comunidades), y el Consejo Regional.<br \/>Los l\u00edderes de la Comunidad Sangilaya, iniciaron tratativas con colonos pertenecientes al Colectivo de V\u00edctimas de Guerra. En las tratativas estuvieron presentes Concejales Regionales, la Polic\u00eda Nacional y la Autoridad territorial. Miskitos y colonos acordaron que estos \u00faltimos se retirar\u00edan de la zona en el lapso de dos meses. Gentileza de Juan Carlos Ocampo.<\/p>\n<p>En este caso las comunidades han asumido el rol de cuidar y defender su territorio, por v\u00edas pacificas y pidiendo asesor\u00eda y acompa\u00f1amiento de las autoridades correspondiente para seguir los procesos legales establecidos. De esta forma, los Miskito han logrado controlar la invasi\u00f3n de colonos, reducir la tala ilegal, y el avance de la frontera agr\u00edcola sobre sus territorios. No obstante, tienen conciencia de que la defensa de sus territorios frente a colonos y terceros, ser\u00e1 una tarea constante en adelante.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>La Cooperativa de Producci\u00f3n Agroforestal y su Plan de Manejo Forestal<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Las seis Comunidades han constituido la Cooperativa de Producci\u00f3n Agroforestal (COOSIPBAA R.L.), a la que definen como su \u201cbrazo empresarial y t\u00e9cnico para el manejo de los recursos naturales y el empoderamiento del capital social como estrategia de promoci\u00f3n del desarrollo humano local\u201d.<br \/>A trav\u00e9s de la cooperativa, han puesto en marcha un modelo de Forester\u00eda Comunitaria propio. Para ello desarrollaron su Plan General de Manejo Forestal, sobre 12.860 has de bosque. Adem\u00e1s, han logrado que la madera que sale de su bosque est\u00e9 certificada FSC como \u2018madera controlada\u2019.<br \/>En un interesante trabajo de gobernanza ind\u00edgena, las Comunidades Miskitas del Bloque SIPBAA han realizado un an\u00e1lisis de sus amenazas internas y fortalezas.
